is a practical guide which covers succinctly all the basic
questions to which a new writer needs answers. John Reynold’s
first novel Uncommon Enemy has recently been published
and in Writing Your First Novel John shares his own
experience as a new fiction writer. Uncommon Enemy
provides many of the examples but there are quotes from a
variety of authors from New Zealand and beyond which illustrate
the points being made. This little book is easy to read, practical,
sensible, accessible. It is a book to which writers will want
to return again and again as they gain experience.
